Fishing For Wrasse Using Craw Creature Baits in the UK
In the video below, angler Declan G demonstrates a highly effective technique when using craw creature baits when fishing for Wrasse in the United Kingdom. The photos and video on this page are courtesy of Declan G.
I call this method the Plop n Drop method, simply plop the lure into the water, one or two meters out, and let it drop to the bottom, or just off the bottom. Giving tiny little twitches to the rod is sure to entice even the wariest of Wrasse! They love the Bass Addict Craw-Critter!
The two most popular ways to rig craws or creature baits are the Texas Rig and the Cheburashka Rig. Declan favours the Cheb, with good reason! The Cheb Rig is a bottom jigging technique that uses a clip, hook, and weight to manoeuvre a light lure to your desired position.
